About the Job

Business Systems Analyst – Order to Cash / Supply Chain Planning

As part of the IT Applications team, this position will be responsible for supporting and maintaining multiple ERP application modules and associated business processes related to supply chain management which includes, but is not limited to, areas such as Suppliers, Procurement, Receiving, Warehousing, Shipping, and other related functions in a Engineer to Order discrete manufacturing based environment. This position will be responsible for the following:

Analysis and Solution Definition:

  • Reviews and analyzes on-going customer support requests related to supply chain management functions
  • Works with Senior and Lead Business Analysts to identify and develop both short-term and long-term solutions to business requirements
  • Helps business users identify and resolve operational and transactional issues
  • Provides insight to IT management and other business system analysts alike on how to solve challenges related to both business systems and processes
  • Configures and maintains both Production and Non-Production environments to support technical team development efforts and user acceptance testing as applicable

Project Execution, Delivery and Support:

  • Helps support project plans and ensure on time delivery of all major milestones
  • Aids in development of functional specifications for mappings/interfaces, packages, procedures and scheduled jobs
  • Supports the development of training materials for the business users and if needed, assists in the delivery of training content
  • Assists and ensures business end users are able to trouble-shoot and identify root cause(s) of system errors
  • Properly identifies, tracks, reports, and resolves issues in a timely manner

Scope/Accountability:

  • Provides production support for modules and/or business systems within the business area they support
  • Responsible for coordinating with and supporting other team members allocated to assigned tasks and IT project related deliverables
  • Responsible for the on-time and quality of their assigned tasks and activities through the IT project lifecycle

Decision Making, Discretion & Latitude:

  • Ability to handle their assigned tasks within a defined scope and timeline
  • Requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize assigned tasks
  • Requires the ability to build strong working relationships

Job Requirements:

Experience:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 3-5 years of functional experience with ERP Order to Cash and Supply Chain Management applications and processes
  • Strong working knowledge of Supply Chain Mgmt functions and core processes
  • Experience in systems analysis, design and development
  • Exposure with a Project Manufacturing/ETO Manufacturing based environment a plus but not required
  • Suppliers, Procurement, Receiving, Warehousing, Shipping, and other related application module experience a plus but not required
  • Oracle ERP and/or EBS applications a plus but not required

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proactive in delivering value based results from Analysis through the various phases of the IT Project Lifecycle.
  • Ability to successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Understands the concepts and methodologies associated with the areas of IT Software Development Lifecycle
  • Experience and understanding of SQL and PL/SQL related programming languages a plus but not required
  • Excellent organizational, communication & documentation skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to interact well with all levels in a organization
  • Excellent problem solving/analytical skills with a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed to complete projects
  • Proven track record supporting corporate customers in manufacturing environments
